The Basics
All fields are required.
You can submit as many applications as you like, however, only one project per person is eligible for funding.
Applications can be submitted by individual artists or collectives.
Applications are due no later than 11:59 PM on Sunday, November 22, 2009. Late applications will not be accepted.
Projects will be selected based on the following criteria:
1) accordance with the tinygrants mission statement
2) creativity and ingenuity
3) plausibility/logistics
You must submit a CV and digital images of your previous work (.jpg, maximum five images).
Project Stuff
Please provide a tentative title for your project. This can be changed upon selection.
Describe your collaborative, participatory or educational project in 1000 characters or less.
Include a possible venue or venue type.
Events must occur in the Toronto area and take place prior to Monday, February 22, 2010.
Events must not exceed a duration of eight hours.
Money Stuff
The maximum grant amount is $300.
tinygrants will work collaboratively with selected artists to maximize use of funds.
Funds are distributed as “artist fees” that can be used by the artist as necessary in order to realize his or her project.
As this is an experiment in microfunding for the arts, tinygrants funding must be the primary source of project funding. Supplemental funding (including other grants, sponsorships or personal contributions) must not exceed 25% of the tinygrants amount received.
Reporting Stuff
All applicants are asked to participate in a brief survey regarding the tinygrants application process.
All grant recipients are required to complete a project assessment survey or interview as well as a brief reporting form that outlines the budget for and attendance of your event.
Grant Stuff
You will be notified of grant results by email by Tuesday, December 1, 2009.
Funds will be distributed upon receipt of signed agreement.
